Carmelo (Charlie) Bontempo has over 50 years of experience across Australia in construction and maintenance activities within the resources, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. He has been instrumental in the success of public and private businesses, in delivering services infrastructure and resources developments.
Mr Bontempo is a co-founder and chair of Tempo Australia. His family company Bontempo Nominees is a major land holder in Perth's CBD, most notably King Street.
Mr Bontempo was one of the four founding partners of United Construction Holdings (later known as UGL). He was also managing director of Monadelphous Group during the company’s early restructuring period in the late 1990s.
