WA mining executives win national scholarship
Three senior Western Australian mining executives have been named among 16 recipients of Chief Executive Women’s $250,000 scholarship program.
Cecile Wake is an experienced chief executive and senior executive with over 25 years of international experience in LNG, new energies, oil & gas project development & operations, and high-value cross-border M&A transactions within the oil, gas and mining sectors.
Since January 2020, Ms Wake has been the chief executive of Arrow Energy, a Queensland-based natural gas producer and explorer as well as Shell’s joint venture with PetroChina. In May 2023, she became the country chair of Shell Australia and senior vice president of Integrated Gas Australia, where she oversees Shell’s operated and non-operated gas production and liquefaction businesses in Australia.
Ms Wake holds a Bachelor of Economics and Law from The University of Queensland.
