Dr Casey Blundell's training and work experience is principally within complexly deformed geologic terranes in various locations. She has a particular interest in critical minerals systems, and is a proponent of applying an integrative, scientific approach to minerals exploration, and in utilising both emerging scientific research and the experience of leading industry experts to add material value to projects.
Dr Blundell joined Rubix Resources in June 2022 as a senior geologist and exploration manager before becoming chief executive in September 2023.
She holds a PhD in Structural Geology and Structural Geophysics; and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Society of Economic Geologists, and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy where she was a recipient of its prestigious Education Endowment Fund Scholarship.
