Carolyn Viney has more than 20 years of experience in construction, property development and real estate investment. Prior to joining Vicinity Centres in 2016, Ms Viney was with Grocon where she held a number of senior roles over a 13-year period including as chief executive, deputy chief executive, head of development and in-house counsel. Before that, she was a senior associate at law firm MinterEllison. Ms Viney is a division councillor of the Property Council of Australia’s Victoria Division, an advisory board member to the Victorian Government’s Office of Projects Victoria and Women’s Property Initiatives (a not-for-profit housing provider to women and children at risk of homelessness) as well as a director of the Walter + Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and The Big Issue.
