Caroline Cherry is an experienced energy policy strategist.
Ms Cherry has been the Western Australia director of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) since March 2023. Prior to that, she was a director of the LNG Jobs Taskforce in the WA Government. She had previously held roles at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), WA’s Independent Market Operator (IMO) and the Commonwealth’s industry and resources department. She had also spent 8 years working on numerous aspects of the Council of Australian Government Energy Council’s energy market reform agenda, comprising both economic and non-economic reforms.
Ms Cherry holds a Bachelor of Management and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canberra, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
