Carol Adams OAM was elected Mayor of City of Kwinana in 2006, having first been elected as a councillor in 1997 and was deputy mayor in 2005. She stepped down from the Council in October 2023.
Ms Adams was a senior solicitor for the WA Police Union from 1998 to early 2011.
In 2019, she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to local government and to the community of Perth.
