Campbell Baird has been part of the Australian and global mining industry for more than 25 years and has a deep level of operational and corporate experience. He was general manager of Altona Resources, and spent five years with SRK Consulting. He worked internationally on projects including Oyu Tolgoi (Mongolia), Kylyahti (Finland), and for the Iron Ore Company of Canada. As chief executive of Focus Minerals, a Western Australian gold producer, he increased annual gold production from 5000 ounces in 2008 to 175000 ounces in 2012. This was achieved through organic development and strategic acquisitions. Mr Baird is a Council Member and Treasurer of AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies), Member of the AusIMM & AICD, and has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from UNSW and a Masters of International Finance from Curtin University.
