Camilo Blanco started his own business and launched the successful Hedland Automotive in 2001.
He was elected to the Town of Port Hedland as deputy mayor in 2015, and was re-elected in November 2016 as the Mayor of Port Hedland. Mr Blanco ran for council again in 2023.
