Cameron Brookes has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry. He studied Computer Science and Communication Engineering at La Trobe University, is an active member of the CEO Institute and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Mr Brookes is also a member of the Telstra Business Awards judging panel, has been named Best Business Leader in the My Business Awards, and a proud alumni of the RBA Small Business Finance Advisory Panel. He has an extensive technical background and held roles where he established, transitioned and oversaw national managed service and outsourced delivery operations. While still at university at 21 years old, Mr Brookes co-founded Kiandra IT and led the organisation to multiple awards including as BRW Top 50 Best Places to Work; JobAdvisor’s Coolest Tech Companies list; Telstra Business Awards (Best Medium Business winner); the ARN Awards (Best SMB Reseller); the Asia Pacific Business Excellence Awards (Best Overall Business); and the CRN Fast 50 and Deloitte Technology Fast 50 lists. Mr Brookes is a regular on the speaker circuit, presenting on both organisational culture and business related issues.
