Byron Beath has significant experience in originating, assessing and executing private equity opportunities.
Mr Beath has been the managing director of Oaktree Capital Management since 2016.
He began his career at Bankers Trust where he was an analyst in the fixed income, currencies and commodities division. He then spent 15 years at Macquarie Bank where he was responsible for originating, assessing and executing investments in senior, subordinated and mezzanine debt, distressed credit, special situation opportunities and private equity opportunities.
Mr Beath has a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University in Sydney, and has completed the Certified Practicing Accountant program.
Mr Beath has been the managing director of Oaktree Capital Management since 2016.
