Former surfing boss to lead Tourism WA
Former Association of Surfing Professionals chief executive Brodie Carr has been appointed as Tourism WA’s new managing director.
Originally from Perth, Mr Carr has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and events, and is currently director of Front Foot Agency, a brand consultancy he co-founded, located in France and Sydney. After a six year tenure at the Association of Surfing Professionals, he resigned in 2011 following a controversial miscalculation of the surfing world champion. Mr Carr’s other roles have included general manager of Basketball Australia and business manager of the Sydney Olympic Games.
