Brett Darley is a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, both in Australia and overseas, with technical, operational and commercial roles across varied assets, onshore and offshore.
Mr Darley joined Santos in December 2018, initially as an executive vice president of offshore before becoming chief operating officer for upstream oil & gas in June 2021, president of upstream in February 2022, and executive vice president for Eastern Australia and Papua New Guinea in June 2023.
Prior to Santos, Mr Darley was the chief executive of Quadrant Energy, managing director and regional vice president of Apache Energy, and vice president of drilling & completions at Woodside Energy during the Pluto development and deep water exploration campaigns.
Mr Darley holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Queensland.
