$150m Kinetic sale tops private M&A deals

Perth-based mining technology company Kinetic Logging Services has been sold for a bumper price of more than $150 million, with local investor Viburnum a big winner.
Brenton Armitage has extensive operational knowledge and management experience within the mining services industry. He commenced his career as a geophysicist with Thales Geosolutions before managing Perth-based Surtron Technologies – a company specialising in borehole surveying together with geophysical, geotechnical and hydrogeological logging. Surtron Technologies was acquired by Kinetic (Vautron Holdings Pty Ltd) in 2011. Surtron evolved to become Kinetic Logging Services and traded as a division of Brisbane-based MPC Kinetic. Kinetic Logging Services was acquired by European multinational Epiroc in June 2021.
