Brendon Grylls was leader of the National Party of Western Australia from 2005 until stepping down in 2013. He later returned to leadership of the party in August 2016.
Mr Grylls is most well known for his role in the creation of the Royalties for Regions scheme. He was leader when the Nationals agreed to form government with the Liberals in 2008 in a deal requiring the implementation of Royalties for Regions, in which a quarter share of mining and petroleum royalties are invested into country areas.
