Brendan Taylor is an experienced litigator with a focus on construction and corporate disputes. He represents international, ASX-listed and private companies in construction disputes across Australian courts and in arbitrations. Mr Taylor also acts for directors, shareholders and companies in corporate disputes, investigations and prosecutions by regulatory agencies (predominantly ASIC). He conducts media and defamation matters for, principally, media organisations and has appeared as Counsel in some of the most significant matters. Mr Taylor is the arbitrator for the West Australian Football League and was chair of the WACA Appeals Board. He has also acted in a number of sports law matters. Listed company ILH Group has announced that its law firm subsidiaries Rockwell Olivier and Civic Legal plan to merge their Western Australian operations
The break-up of once-prominent law firm Rockwell Olivier is expected to result in the opening of three ‘new’ firms in Perth, with the Civic Legal brand being revived, Taylor Olivier being launched, and Melbourne-based Mills Oakley Lawyers coming to town.
