Brendan Mason is an experienced chief executive and non-executive director, and a corporate rescue intervention specialist. He has over 12 years of experience in Greater China and Asia, and had started China operations for multiple foreign entities in the MedTech, FinTech, FMCG, and environmental sectors.
Mr Mason was the chief operating officer and chief executive of China operations at SmartTrans Holdings which later became Orcoda. He was subsequently appointed group managing director during the company's reshuffle of its board and management team, and became a non-executive director in April 2019.
Mr Mason also spent seven years as Cochlear's general manager for China and Mongolia and has worked as Lucent Technologies' executive director and head of sales. While at Cochlear, Mr Mason oversaw an increase of multiples in sales in the Chinese market and established high-level relationships with a range of regulatory agencies. Between 2010 and 2014, he was a board member, treasurer and chair of the Australian Chamber of Commerce to China in Beijing and in 2016, he established the Bohai chapter of the Australian Chamber of Commerce to China.
