Brendan Foley has experience in planning, environment and land compensation, including providing strategic advice and assistance in relation to complex development and subdivision projects, conducting appeals to the State Administrative Tribunal to resolve land use conflicts, drafting and dissecting planning policies and by-laws, preparation and conduct of public deputations, detailed due diligence, as well as negotiating and documenting cost contribution arrangements. Mr Foley also had the conduct of a number of matters involving the landfill levy, compulsory acquisition of land, the defence of prosecutions under planning, building, environment and health legislation, and providing advice in respect of environmental matters at both state and commonwealth levels. He holds a degree in urban and regional planning and has worked as a town planner in private practice for a number of years before commencing legal practice.
