Bob Jacobs is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Liquidator, Forensic Investigator and Restructuring Specialist.
His accounting career started in 1981 with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) where he led the investigation into the collapse of Rothwells Ltd and WA Inc including the Burswood Casino cost overruns. The results of these investigations led to the prosecution of directors and officers of those companies. From 1989 to 2006, he was the director of insolvency firm Ferrier Hodgson where he handled the administration of Harvey Beef, the Anaconda Scheme of Arrangement, and the successful implementation of the WA Pines Scheme of Arrangement.
In 2006 Mr Jacobs relocated to India and as founding and managing partner, he established a corporate advisory firm in Mumbai with Ferrier Hodgson. During his time in India he was successful in winning corporate and transactional assignments, as well as acting as representative on government and professional committees dealing with corporate restructuring matters.
In 2010, Mr Jacobs returned to Perth to undertake consulting work with HLB Mann Judd. He briefly joined Jirsch Sutherland as its WA representative before its merger with WA Insolvency Solutions. In 2015 he established a new firm Auxilium Partners.
