Octava Minerals is on the cusp of kicking off a soil sampling program in a bid to expand the Razorback gold prospect at its 202sq-km Talga lithium-gold project, 30km east of Marble Bar in WA’s Pilbara region. Despite Razorback showing significant gold intersections in previous drilling, including 5m at 2.23g/t from 24m, only 700m of its interpreted 4km strike has been drilled.

The ASX share price of Octava Minerals surged almost 200 per cent today after the company revealed high-grade antimony hits from historic drilling at its Yallalong project, 220km north of Geraldton in Western Australia. The finds include an impressive 3m at 6.83 per cent antimony and 7m at 3.27 per cent at a time when the silvery metal is all the range on global markets.

Octava Minerals has tapped the market for $1 million in a bid to expand the antimony prospect within its Yallalong project in WA, with plans for both extensional and infill drilling. In a further show of support, company directors have also agreed to stump up $150,000 to provide a cash boost that will bolster the funds required for planned exploration programs.

With antimony prices hitting an all time high and the Chinese government banning exports of the valuable military metal, Octava Minerals is cranking up the drill rig at its Yallalong antimony project 200km east of Kalbarri in Western Australia. The drill bit is set to touch down this weekend for a highly anticipated 3000m reverse circulation drill program just as the silvery metal hits an all-time high of $33,000 a tonne.

Octava Minerals has agreed to sell 100 per cent of its Talga gold, base metals and lithium project in WA’s Pilbara to Global Lithium for $200,000 in cash and a further $200,000 by way of Global Lithium stock. Global Lithium will acquire Octava’s seven Talga project tenements though a 100 per cent owned subsidiary with the share consideration based on its 5-day VWAP prior to completion.

Octava Minerals has spotted visible signs of the critical mineral, antimony, in drill holes at the company’s Yallalong project that sits in the Mid West region of WA, with assays due early next year. Drilling is nearly complete at the company’s Discovery prospect with the rig then set to move to its Central antimony prospect for a maiden nine-hole program.

Octava Minerals has found 14 key structural antimony targets along a 10km antimony corridor at its Yallalong project in WA’s Gascoyne region, identified via a recent surface gravity geophysical survey. The targets look similar to its Discovery prospect that was the only site drilled out of four prime areas identified in historic exploration, and which assayed up to 7m at 3.27 per cent antimony along a 300m strike.
