Binningup workers’ village plan scrapped
A $73.4 million accommodation village set to house 500 staff working on Albemarle Corporation’s Kemerton lithium plant will no longer go ahead.
Beverley East has broad leadership experience across the resources, community services, politics and media sectors. She has been involved in government relations, stakeholder engagement, people management, business planning, governance and communications.
Ms East is also an experienced non-executive director, chair and deputy chair of not-for-profit organisations.
Prior to becoming the country manager & vice president of Australia external affairs at Albemarle Corporation in July 2022, she was the vice president of people, culture and corporate affairs & the head of government affairs at Santos, interim chief executive of Arts Access Australia, chief executive of social outreach at St John of God Health Care, and general manager of corporate affairs at Woodside Energy for just under a decade.
Ms East had also been a ministerial advisor to the WA Government and a federal electorate officer for the Member for Stirling; and spent over 7 years as a news reporter and radio producer for Australian Broadcasting Corporation and The Daily News.
