Bernadette Smith began her career as a training accountant in 1990 before trying her hand in the commercial sector.
She joining Aspen Corporate in 1995 as an intermediate accountant and completed her Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Edith Cowan University whilst working full-time at Aspen Corporate.
Ms Smith became an accredited Certified Practising Accountant in 1999. She is primarily involved in providing accounting, taxation and business services to SMEs and works across a range of industries including hotels, cafes & restaurants, equipment hirer, real estate, finance broking, transport services, property and building services, childcare and retail.
Ms Smith is completing a Chartered Secretarial course with the Chartered Secretaries Australia. She is also an Authorised Representative of Count Financial under Aspen Financial Planning. roles.
She was a past chair of the CPA WA Public Practice Committee, is a member of Women on Boards, and sits on not-for-profit boards.
