Ben Stoikovich is an experienced mining executive and corporate finance professional with wide ranging experience of managing the environmental, social and sustainability aspects of mining projects across the life-cycle and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements of the investment community.
He has a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of NSW, a Master of Environmental Engineering from the University of Wollongong, and a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from Curtin University. He also holds a 1st Class Coal Mine Managers Ticket from the Coal Mine Qualifications Board in Australia, and is a registered Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist in the United Kingdom.
Mr Stoikovich started his career as a mining engineer with BHP Billiton in Australia, gaining broad experience across mine operations management and qualifying as a mine manager. He has been the chief executive of Prairie Mining since June 2013 and was a director of the mining and metals corporate finance division at Standard Chartered Bank in London, with extensive experience in financing the development of African mining projects and exposure to the mineral sands sector.
