Basil Zempilas

Sports Presenter / Seven West Media

Basil Zempilas is a media personality best known for commentating the Olympics and the AFL, as well as co-hosting 6PR’s breakfast slot alongside Steve Mills.

He declared his candidacy to become Lord Mayor of The City of Perth in July 2020 and was elected to the role in October 2020.

Mr Zempilas also nominated for preselection as the Liberal candidate for Churchlands in January 2024.
