SPECIAL REPORT: Barry McGuire says Redspear Safety’s recent emergence has been built on tailoring its offering to what customers need.
Barry McGuire is a Balladong, Wadjuk, Noongar who is highly regarded as a public speaker, facilitator and negotiator. Mr McGuire was a consultant and cultural advisor for local, state, and federal government.
In addition to his role as managing director of Redspear Safety, he is also a cultural consultant for Perth Transport Association and the Perth International Arts Festival, an advisory board member of the Black Swan Theatre Company of WA, and a board member of the Minderoo Foundation. This allows him to exercise his passion for sharing cultural understanding and safety across all nations of Australia.
In June 2022, Mr McGuire became a Patron of Fremantle Press, with a focus to raising the organisation’s profile within the arts, education and business communities. He was also appointed to the board of Minderoo Foundation in July 2022.
