Finders raises $12m for copper project
Perth-based copper explorer Finders Mines has tapped investors for $12 million to fund ongoing work at its Wetar project in Indonesia.
Barry Cahill is a mining engineer with over 25 years of experience in exploration, operational mining and management throughout Australia.
He has extensive experience in the management of all facets of operating mines including regional exploration, resource drilling, underground and open pit mining, ore processing facilities, as a mining contractor and an operator. He also had particular experience in the management of project development and construction from initial exploration drilling phase through to project funding and onto project commissioning and development.
Mr Cahill has been an executive director of several public companies including as operations director of Perilya; managing director of Australian Mines; and managing director of Norseman Gold, a company listed on the London AIM market and the ASX.

Perth-based copper explorer Finders Mines has tapped investors for $12 million to fund ongoing work at its Wetar project in Indonesia.
The independent directors of Finders Resources have questioned some of the claims and assumptions used by Indonesian group Eastern Field Developments, which has announced a takeover offer for the West Perth company.
Indonesian group Eastern Field has taken control of Finders Resources, five months after announcing its takeover deal, which values the copper miner at about $177 million.
The board of Finders Resources has been overhauled after Indonesian group Eastern Field Developments increased its stake above 90 per cent in its $177 million takeover of the copper miner, with David Fowler appointed as a director and acting chief executive.
