Ayor Makur Chuot

Ayor Makur Chuot is a Labor Party member of the Western Australia Legislative Council for North Metropolitan Region. She is also the first WA state MP of African and South Sudanese ancestry.
Prior to politics, Ms Chuot was an accountant and international model.
Ms Chuot and her family emigrated to Australia as refugees in 2005, after her father was killed in the Second Sudanese Civil War. Prior to migrating, her family had spent ten years in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
