Atticus Fleming
Atticus Fleming AM was the inaugural chief executive of Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), an organisation founded by Martin Copley which manages almost 4 million hectares across iconic regions such as the Kimberley, the Top End and central Australia. Mr Fleming held the position for 16 years, until July 2018. Prior to AWC, he worked as an advisor to Australia’s longest serving Federal Environment Minister, the Hon Robert Hill, and as a corporate and commercial lawyer. He was one of four WA finalists in the 2014 Australian of the Year awards. In 2020, Mr Fleming was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant services to the conservation of endangered wildlife and habitats.
