Group Chief Operating Officer / Rio Tinto

Arnaud Soirat has over 25 years of experience in the metals and mining industry, and a wealth of operational and commercial experience.

Mr Soirat joined Rio Tinto in 2010 and was president and chief executive of aluminium primary metal with responsibility for managing and improving global operations and businesses. He then became chief executive of copper & diamonds in July 2016, and group chief operating officer in March 2021.

Prior to joining Rio Tinto, Mr Soirat spent 18 years in various technical and operational positions with Alcoa and Pechiney in Australia and Europe.
