Critics call for Cook's ouster
Pressure continues to mount for Roger Cook with both the state opposition and the AMA today calling for him to resign as health minister.

Dr Aresh Anwar was the chief executive at the WA Child and Adolescent Health Service and Perth Children's Hospital from 2018 to August 2022. Prior to that, he was the executive director at Royal Perth Bentley Group and a practicing consultant in general medicine and diabetes and endocrinology.
Prior to coming to Australia, Dr Anwar was the executive medical director in one of England’s largest National Health Service Trusts.
Dr Anwar has led on change programs delivering new models of care including consultant delivered acute integrated care. He has also led on many collaborative projects leading to new obesity services and specialist antenatal services.
