Canning plans more on the Fringe
Artrage was founded as an alternative arts organisation, yet under chief executive and former 40under40 award winner Marcus Canning, its turnover is heading towards $20 million.
Dr Anthony Robinson is a West Australian who is motivated to use his professional experience to boost Artrage’s contribution to arts and culture in Western Australia. He joined the board in 2011 and was chair from September 2014 to February 2022, and interim chief executive from April to October 2023.
An engineer and economist by education, Dr Robinson was a business consultant in the airlines, mining, resources and utilities sectors within Australia, Europe, Africa and America for 20 years.
He is also a business owner and board member for several small enterprises, working to assist organisations with problem solving, strategy and execution.

Artrage, the not for profit behind Fringe World Festival, has appointed Hesperia’s Kyle Jeavons as chair to replace the long-serving Anthony Robinson.
