Ann Sherry AO is the executive chair of Carnival Australia, the largest cruise ship operator in Australasia, which she joined in 2007.
Prior to joining Carnival, Ms Sherry spent 12 years with Westpac where she held executive roles including chief executive, Westpac New Zealand; chief executive, Bank of Melbourne; and group executive, People & Performance. Ms Sherry is a non-executive director for Sydney Airport, the Palladium Group, Infrastructure Victoria, Australian Rugby Union, Tourism & Transport Forum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Cape York Partnerships.
She is the Australian Chair of the Trans-Tasman Business Council's ANZ Leadership Forum and was a non-executive director for ING Group (Amsterdam) and ING Direct (Australia).
In 2015, Ms Sherry was named the overall winner of the AFR 100 Women of Influence for her corporate leadership and achievements in promoting diversity and female representation across a variety of sectors during her 30-year career. In 2001, she was awarded the Centenary Medal for providing disadvantaged communities with banking services. In 2004, Ms Sherry was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for corporate management policies and practices that address issues of gender, family life, and social justice.
