Anika Wells is an Australian politician and a member of the Labor Party, representing the Division of Lilley in Queensland since 2019.
Following the Labor Party's victory at the 2022 federal election, Ms Wells became the Minister for Aged Care and Sport under the Albanese government.
Prior to entering politics, Ms Wells was an advisor to the federal government for five years. She was admitted to practise law in 2012 and joined Maurice Blackburn in 2014 as a compensation lawyer. She worked on a number of cases related to immigration detention.
Ms Wells holds degrees in Arts and Law from Griffith University, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
