New agent general for London
The state government has taken the unusual step of appointing a career public servant from the health department as WA’s next agent general for a term of just nine months.
Angela Kelly joined the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, as Acting Deputy Director General, Recovery Implementation and State Services in September 2020, on a secondment from the Department of Health.
Ms Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in the WA public sector. She has held several senior executive positions within the Department of Health, including Assistant Director General Purchasing and System Performance and Executive Director Resourcing and Performance, and in 2018 spent three months as the acting Chief Executive at North Metropolitan Health Service.
She holds an economics qualification from the University of Western Australia.
