Angela Hill
Professor Angela Hill is the Dean, Learning Teaching and Student Engagement at James Cook University, responsible for academic staff development, teaching quality, blended learning, and academic language and learning. She also oversees pathways programs including the Diploma of Higher Education. Professor Hill is also responsible for student support services and student equity. Professor Hill has worked in the VET and Higher Education area for over 20 years. In 2008, she received an Australian Learning and Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for redesign of curriculum to incorporate work-integrated learning and authentic assessment, reflecting a command of the field of teacher education, and inspiring students' learning. Professor Hill has published and researched in the areas of literacy policy, educational disadvantage and work integrated learning. Professor Hill will be commencing with ECU as Pro-Vice Chancellor, Education in April 2017.
