Andrew Shearwood has particular expertise in corporate and financial services law.
Prior to becoming a partner at Dentons in June 2021, he spent over 7.5 years as a partner at HWL Ebsworth, and practised at Herbert Smith Freehills (and its predecessor firms) for over 27.5 years.
Mr Shearwood has been a trusted advisor to boards and senior management of listed and unlisted companies in Australia and overseas. He also has experience working with regulators such as the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC).
Mr Shearwood advises clients from a wide range of sectors such as aged care and health; agribusiness; financial services and funds management; natural resources; property development and management, as well as services and technology. He was involved with international transactions including parties in China, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Zambia.
