Andrew Harding is the chief executive and managing director of Aurizon.
Prior to that, he was the chief executive of Rio Tinto's extensive iron ore product group in February 2013 until his departure in 2016, where he was accountable for operations and projects in Australia, Canada, India and for Rio Tinto Marine. He also had Rio Tinto executive committee responsibility for China, Japan and Korea. Mr Harding had previously spent three years as chief executive of the Rio Tinto copper product group, with responsibility for a range of operations and projects around the world, including development of the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia. His career has also included being president and chief executive officer at Rio Tinto's Kennecott Utah Copper in Salt Lake City.
Mr Harding holds an MBA from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
