Amanda Stoker is an Australian politician who became a Senator for Queensland in 2018. She is a member of the Liberal National Party of Queensland and sits with the Liberal Party in federal parliament. In December 2020, Ms Stoker was promoted to the frontbench as an Assistant Minister to Attorney General. She was also appointed the Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations and Assistant Minister for Women in March 2021 following a federal cabinet reshuffle. Ms Stoker relinquished her ministerial portfolios in May 2022 following the defeat of the Liberal Party at the federal election.
Ms Stoker began her career as a clerk and solicitor in Brisbane with Minter Ellison. She went on to serve as a Commonwealth prosecutor, and a judge's associate in the Supreme Court of Queensland and in the High Court of Australia.
Prior to her appointment to the Senate, Ms Stoker was a member of Level Twenty-Seven Chambers and a sessional academic at Central Queensland University. She was vice president of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland from 2016 to 2018. A member of the Samuel Griffith Society, she is known to have an interest in federalism, federal law and the Australian Constitution.
