Amanda Sheers has over 20 years of experience within the public and private sectors interstate, and has held leadership roles in local and state government bodies across urban planning and infrastructure strategies and projects. She has also provided leadership on a diverse range of urban planning and infrastructure strategies & projects, encourages & supports innovative solutions to growth challenges, and producing evidence-based policy development.
Ms Sheers moved to Perth in 2020 to take up the role of development services manager at the City of Stirling where she led a large team responsible for statutory planning, schemes, policies & heritage, building and verge control, and pools. She was subsequently appointed director of planning & development in November 2023.
Ms Sheers has been the WA president of the Planning Institute of Australia since December 2022.
