Allan Blagaich

Allan Blagaich has extensive experience in secondary education.
Mr Blagaich spent over a decade with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority which is responsible for curriculum, standards, testing and WACE examination for all students in Western Australia. He was chief executive from May 2011, and executive director from October 2017 to September 2023 when he took up the role of executive director at the Queensland Catholic Education Commission. Prior to that, Mr Blagaich was an executive director of statewide planning & executive director of metropolitan schools at the Department of Education, and principal of Melville Senior High School where he was awarded Rotary Principal of the Year in 2006.
In 2007, he was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to investigate interventions for schools deemed to be facing challenging circumstances.
