Hon Alan Stockdale was treasurer in the Victorian Government from 1992 to 1999, and Minister for IT & Multimedia from 1996 to 1999. He was federal president of the Liberal Party from 2008 to 2014.
In the private sector, Mr Stockdale spent 6 years at Macquarie Bank where he co-led the team that bid to acquire Sydney Airport.
Taking on a number of other corporate advisory roles, he was involved in a range of infrastructure transactions, especially in the power, gas and transport sectors in Australia and overseas. He has developed a career as a company chair and director of several ASX-listed companies, unlisted companies and not-for-profit organisations.
Mr Stockdale is a consultant to Metro Trains. He was previously a consultant to Maddocks Lawyers, an advisory board member of Lazard Australia, and chair of the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund.
