Alan Boyd has over 35 years of professional experience, including 20 years as a chief financial officer and company secretary of ASX-listed and public unlisted companies. He also has extensive financial, accounting and commercial experience in Australia and the UK, having started his career in 1984 in the accounting and audit profession and then moving into industry after emigrating from the UK to Australia in 1988.
Mr Boyd has been the chief financial officer and company secretary of Ridley Corporation, an ASX-listed provider of high performance animal nutrition solutions, since April 2009. Prior to that, he was the chief financial officer and company secretary of listed biotechnology companies Avexa and Zenyth Therapeutics, website pioneer Sausage Software, and unlisted public entity HRL where he later served as a non-executive director and chair of its audit committee.
