Adriane Daff completed a BA in Theatre Arts at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2004. It was during her time at WAAPA that she first met Zoe Pepper, and they worked together in 2005 on Side Pony’s first show, Motor City Blues. After a successful Perth season, the show played at the 2006 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Ms Daff has continued to work with Side Pony Productions on a variety of shows including The Confidence Man and The Wives of Hemingway, as well as Scarecrow (winner of the Blue Room Theatre Judge’s Choice award 2006), The Manic Pony and The Pride (winner of the Blue Room Theatre Member’s choice award and Blue Room Theatre Best Production in 2010). The Pride was performed at Brisbane’s Under the Radar festival, as part of Perth Theatre Company’s 2011 season, and at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was nominated for a Total Theatre Award (Innovation, Experimentation and Playing with Form Category). Ms Daff has also acted for TV - Blood in the Sand, The Sleepover Club, Bom Bali and Cloudstreet; as well as film - Before Closing, Lions and Tigers, and You Be The Widow with Side Pony Productions. She received the 2005 Equity Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Visit and has furthered her acting studies at the Ward Acting Studio (Meisner) from 2007-2009 and at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier where she completed a summer term in ‘Le Jeu’.
