Norwegian fertiliser and explosives giant Yara International owns Yara Pilbara Holdings (formerly Burrup Holdings - see separate BNiQ entries) which operates an 850,000-tonne per annum liquid ammonia plant on the Burrup Peninsula.
Yara also owns 55 per cent of Yara Pilbara Nitrates, which owns a neighbouring technical ammonium nitrate (TAN) plant in joint venture with Orica.
