Universal Biosecurity

Perth-based tech company Universal Biosecurity is focused on developing its fumigation technology, Fume8.

Fume8 is a Unique Patented Technology that utilises inert nitrogen gas to activate ethyl formate, a natural food grade product, which results in shorter fumigation periods, low toxicity and residue, as well as reducing the biosecurity risks to animals or plant materials.

Universal Biosecurity had aimed to raise $5 million through an initial public offer to fund a two-year research and development program, but the IPO was cancelled in 2018.
