The Publican Group’s core business is the acquisition and operation of a portfolio of quality hospitality venues throughout Australia. The Group specialise in providing a range of hospitality management services, including finance, marketing, human resources, training, kitchen and front of house operations. It also offer consultancy services to external venues.
The Publican Group was placed into voluntary administration at the end of 2017, after selling off all of its assets to Melbourne-headquartered Australian Venue Co which was known as Dixon Hospitality at the time.

THE Publican Group has bought inner-city bar Wolfe Lane, adding to its group of licensed venues that includes The George and The Aviary in the city, and The Burnleigh in Nedlands.

Redevelopment works have begun at the Guildford Hotel, with the historic landmark expected to reopen by the end of this year, nearly eight years after it was gutted by fire.
The owners of the Guildford Hotel say the historic property is in danger of sitting decrepit for the foreseeable future, after the City of Swan moved to impose a two-storey limit on apartment development at the back of the site overnight.
Planning Minister John Day has moved to allow up to five storeys of apartments to be built at the Guildford Hotel, gazumping the City of Swan which had moved to impose a two-storey limit on the site earlier this year.
