The Growers

Since November 2011, The Growers Hand Crafted Wines Pty Ltd has been owned and managed by husband and wife team, Doreen and Phil May. The Growers was incorporated in September 2002 by viticulturist and winemaker Phil May. The early days of the business operation were undertaken at the "Peppermint Grove" vineyard in Pemberton, Western Australia. Since then, The Growers commenced leasing of the established and mature AbbeyVale property in May 2003 and the business base was moved to this premier Margaret River address at this time. By utilizing the existing AbbeyVale brand as well as establishing brands within the company's ownership the Company has enjoyed significant success in producing many award wining wines. The Growers ceased making wine in 2014 and ceased selling wine in January 2016. The winery and cellar door lease have now expired.
