Ocean Guardian, previously named Shark Shield, manufacturers shark deterrent product approved by the Western Australian government for rebates, having had the technology proven by independent tests. The company seeks to grow its product base to cover a range of beach and ocean safety devices.

Ocean Guardian safety products are intended for surfers, divers, and beach goers, offering safety equipment in professional industries such navies and abalone diving, without harming sharks. The device works by creating a three-dimensional electrical waveform designed to cause severe discomfort and spasms in a shark's short-range electrical sensors.

In 2018, the Shark Shield company became Ocean Guardian and pursued an ASX listing via an IPO. The company later decided to postpone the listing process until some time in 2019.
