Koligo Therapeutics is a Kentucky, USA based medical technology company the Kyslecel cell therapy treatment for chronic pancreatitis.
Kyslecel is made from the patient's pancreatic islets. A surgeon removes the diseased pancreas, sends it to Koligo, and the company preserves the islets to make Kyslecel. Kyslecel is then infused into the patient's liver where the islets are expected to function and produce the insulin needed to regulate blood sugar.
