Humm
Humm, a Perth-founded startup with operations in Shenzhen and its headquarters in San Francisco, was developing a wearable device that stimulates the brain and its possible use in improved learning and concentration.
The team from startup Humm, founded by Chris Norman, Ahmud Auleear, Iain McIntyre and Tim Fiori, moved from Perth to San Francisco in 2018 to participate in the University of California Berkeley’s prestigious Skydeck accelerator program.
In December 2019, the business raised $US2.6 million ($3.7 million) from US-based investors to commercialise its Edge headband technology, which stimulates brain function for learning and work. Humm had previously graduated from the Spacecubed Plus Eight program in Perth.
Humm ceased operations at the end of 2021.
