Active in Australia since the world’s first LNG train was installed on the North West Shelf in the mid-1980s, GE Oil & Gas has continued investing in the region and recently established a regional hub in Perth, Western Australia as a centre of industry expertise from where we serve our customers across the region. GE Oil & Gas employs nearly 600 people in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney. GE also operates a technology and learning complex at Jandakot. The Jandakot regional service hub provides support services for their Drilling & Production, Turbomachinery Solutions, and Subsea Systems businesses with local FEED resources and dedicated engineering operations and workshop teams.
In July 2017, Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas merged to form the new oil and gas outfit.
